Baking for Bonfire Night.

October 28, 2020

Baking for Bonfire Night.

I am remembering good Guy Fawkes night’s past with popular Parkin cake created from Wright’s warming Ginger cake mix and oatflakes. Decorated with a sparkler in each corner it is a fine Firework night fancy and seasonally served at this time.

By far the easiest fare with a wow factor to rival the biggest firework is Wright’s recipe for Sparkler Sausages, created with Wright’s Premium White bread mix and frankfurters.

Why not create some quick cupcakes with any of our cake mixes and decorate them with coloured butter cream and chocolate flakes! Like in the  pictures here.

John made a nice job of his Bonfire Night cupcakes with Match Makers, buttercream and pomegranet on top of our Chocolate Fudge Mix.

And Kim’s stacked up pretty well too!

Sammie did her bonfire night cupcakes with both Chocolate Fudge & our Orange Cake Mixes.  Marvellously marbled and topped with buttercream peaks & orange matchmakers!

You can make a great cake from any one of our cake mixes to please your guests and add a few indoor sparklers to complete your Bonfire bash!

Rob made some cheesy dogs like our Sparkler Sausage idea made with our Cheddar & Sundried Tomato bread mix. Again, keep the dough quite thin as it will need to prove up prior to baking.

Thanks Peter for sending in his superb ‘Sparkler Sausages’. Sausages wrapped in bread dough & baked – nice with Premium White but Peter used our Ciabatta for these splendours – super dipped in sauce!

Staying safe this Bonfire Night has a whole new meaning this year.  Enjoy the fireworks from a safe, social distance and some home baked treats too. Deb the Bread
