‘Baked by You’ at home: December bakes
January 17, 2023
Happy New Year! December saw lots of fantastic Christmas bakes, and we’re looking forward to seeing all the lovely loafs and cakes that our customers create in 2023. As always, please tag us on either Facebook, Instagram or Twitter in your posts, or send them directly to us at [email protected].
Customer Colin had a busy weekend during December. Thank you Colin for using our cake mixes for your stall at the Christmas market. Colin spent 2 days making a range of tasty cakes, which sold out within 2 and a half hours. These included orange & chocolate bars, toffee latte bars, coffee cake, ginger & lemon cake, and apple & carrot cake. Wonderful!
Who doesn’t love banana bread? It’s easy to make, versatile, and absolutely delicious. Thank you @easy.healthy.homemade on Instagram for sharing your lovely banana bread using our flour – you can find the recipe on their page.
Mixed grain and apple bread… We bet that tasted glorious!
Customer Till used one of our mixes and added apple pieces and apple juice, plus extra seeds and oats. Perfect with just some butter!
Our regular customer @sammiefeasting baked this cake for her daughter’s graduation. Mixing our Chocolate Fudge Cake & Madeira Cake mixes with a generous handful of frozen blueberries (which work beautifully in our cakes by the way!)
Some Christmas bakes now… And does it get much more Christmassy than Vienesse Mince Pies?
These were made by @thebadgerbakes who stocked up on our Wright’s Flour at the Cake & Bake Show. We bet the kitchen smelt delicious when baking these.
Thank you to a customer on Twitter for sharing this lovely fruit cake which was made for work colleagues. Till baked this with our Madeira Cake Mix, but combining it with orange juice instead of water. A clever idea and it looks fantastic.
