Chilli Flat Breads

  • SERVES: 12

METHOD

Method (Makes 12)

Place the bread mix & chillies into a bowl with the water.

Mix to a soft dough.

Divide the dough into 12 pieces and mould each piece into a round ball.

Cover with a polythene sheet.

Heat a large non stick frying pan.

Roll out a piece of dough into a large round using flour for dusting to about the size of a dinner plate.

Once the pan is hot, place the piece of flat dough into the frying pan.

Fry until the dough starts to bubble up and brown slightly.

Turn over and allow the flatbread to colour up slightly.

Place on a warm plate and repeat with the remaining dough pieces.

Cut up the chicken breast and mix with the mayonnaise.

Place the filling into the middle of the bread and roll up with the tomato & lettuce.

“I have recently started using your products. It seems crazy to have only one proving, but the good lady and I (I do all the cooking and baking, by the way!) now use your bread on a daily basis. I, like Dave Frost do not use a bread making machine, and i also agree with the longer proving time. Wonderful for dunking in soup, and eating with cheese. Too good for toast. Thanks for your products.”

Deb's Tips

When you create your own flatbreads, you will never buy the "cardboard Frisbees" from the supermarket again. Especially different to have a flavoured flatbread - marvellous for a Mexican night.
