This Month’s Hall of Home Baking Fame

Thanks for all your lovely baking ideas that have been submitted recently to us using our brilliant bread & clever cake mixes.  Here are a section of what you home bakers have been up to:

Our featured image was from Karen Mary who submitted these pretty pull apart rolls made with our Cheese & Onion mix.

Jackie’s Cheese & Onion loaf looks heavenly and if you are wondering how to achieve that glossy top – you rub a knob of butter over the top when it is just out of the oven – I have it on very good authority from Jackie aka The Baking Nanna that the bread tasted heavenly too!

As if the last one wasn’t good enough! Another of Jackie’s Cheese & Onion loaf was sprinkled with cheddar (instead of the butter). When cut, it was topped with ham and cheese. I don’t know what time of the day you are going to view this but this breakfast buddy, lunchtime livener, teatime treat or supper staple looks superb – anytime of day!

Linda made this baby bump cake for one of the girls at her work. This was made using 2 packs of our Toffee cake mixes. Using 4 cupcakes for boobs and a Toffee cake mix, cooked in a Pyrex bowl, for the belly before being covered in butter cream and fondant icing. Linda said this one “was easy to make and tasted delicious as usual”! Thanks for sharing your beautiful baby bump cake Linda.

Sammie used our Chocolate Fudge Cake Mix to create Rolo Overload Brownies! Apart from delicious, I wonder how they were going to turn out?? This idea for use with Rolo’s is also lovely with our Toffee Cake Mix!

Turns out they don’t take too long in the oven do they? Thanks Sammie for your gorgeous tray bake of yummy Rolo filled Brownies using our Chocolate Fudge Cake Mix & a whole lotta Rolos!

I am happily showing off Sharon’s Cheddar Cheese & Sundried Tomato loaf here.

Pizza Dogs & Buns that were made by Rob having seen our Sparkler Sausages recipe idea.  These were made with Cheddar Cheese & Onion Bread mix which worked wonderfully well with the choice of fillings.

Moire baked this Orange & Passion Fruit Cake for Valentine’s Day.  I just love the heart shape made from the passion fruit seeds!  Made with our Orange Cake Mix and with the remaining seeds mixed in with the buttercream, I bet this was delicious – lovely idea!

Karen Mary shared these jeweled cookies adapted from our recipe for Stained Glass Cookies made with our Gorgeous Ginger Cake Mix.

Rob also made up some Prosciutto and Brie Buns, brushed with Garlic and Herb butter, using our Cheddar Cheese and Onion Bread mix. A little tutorial of how he did this follows:

Amelia has been cooking up some of our Scone Mix! First surprise to her with the scone mix is that you literally just add water.  As there were no cutters around in her kitchen, she shaped the scones by hand and then served them with jam and cream. Superb scones – thanks Amelia – her food blog is on twitter @Ameliasfoodblog
Thanks for sharing your amazing bakes with us!
