METHOD

MAKING BY HAND

Using the ingredients listed above for both Madeira Cake Mix and Chocolate Fudge Cake Mix, mix all of the ingredients together by hand to form the two separate batters.
Then deposit into a well greased large (2lb) loaf tin (or alternatively use a paper liner) the chocolate batter first, followed by the green peppermint batter on top. Carefully just run your fingers through the batter randomly to create the marble effect, making sure to not just mix the two together to form a uniform coloured batter.
Bake in the oven at 160-170ºC (320-340ºF) Gas Mark 3 – 4 for around 50 – 55 minutes until baked. Allow to cool.
USING A BREADMAKER

The above recipe can be used to make a cake in a bread machine.
However, the two cake batters do need to be made by hand first and then they can be deposited into the baking tin of the bread machine in the same manner as described above. The bread machine should then just be set to “Bake Only”.

“Thanks for the parcel just recieved, now going to bake a Chocolate Fudge cake, everything was packed perfect, well pleased!!”
