Mandarin Cake with Lemon Icing

Ingredients

Madeira Cake Mix 5 x 500g
  • Madeira Cake Mix 5 x 500g
  • Wright's Madeira Cake Mix 500g
  • White Bread Flour 20g
  • Mandarin Segments 150g
  • Vegetable Oil 60ml
  • Water 180ml
  • Orange Flavour or Extract 1 teaspoon
  • Icing Sugar 150g
  • Lemon Juice 4 teaspoons

ADD TO BASKET

METHOD

MAKING BY HAND

Using the ingredients listed above for the “Cake”, mix all of the ingredients together to form a batter, by hand following the instructions as on the pack to produce a finished baked cake. Allow to cool.
Using the ingredients listed above for the “Water Icing”, blend together in a bowl the icing sugar & lemon juice using a spoon.
Cover the top of the cake with the water icing and perhaps take our tip and finish with some sprinkled grated lemon peel.

USING A BREADMAKER

Using the ingredients listed above for the “Cake”, mix all of the ingredients together to form a batter, by using a bread machine following the instructions as on the pack to produce a finished baked cake. Allow to cool.
Using the ingredients listed above for the “Water Icing”, blend together in a bowl the icing sugar & lemon juice using a spoon.
Cover the top of the cake with the water icing and perhaps take our tip and finish with some sprinkled grated lemon peel.
