Savoury Bath Buns

Ingredients

Premium White Bread Mix 5 x 500g
  • Premium White Bread Mix 5 x 500g
  • 500g Wrights Premium White bread mix
  • 300ml Warm Water
  • 11/2 Tablespoons Tomato Puree
  • 2 Tablespoons Grated Parmesan Cheese
  • 1 Tablespoon Vegetable Oil
  • 1 Size 4 Egg
  • Decoration: 50g Grated Cheese
  • Bacon bits

ADD TO BASKET

METHOD

Mix the dough following the instructions on the pack.
Place the made up dough on a chopping board and add the other ingredients – chop into small pieces ensuring the ingredients are blended through.
Place mounds of resultant mixture on a greased baking tray (yields 15).
Cover with greased plastic or a damp tea towel and put in a warm place for 30 – 40 minutes or until doubled in size.
Just prior to baking, sprinkle with grated cheese.
Bake in a pre-heated oven at 220°c (430°f) gas mark 7 for 15 – 20 minutes or until golden brown.

Just different - we all like a bath bun with a nice cup of tea - this is a super, savoury version to serve with pickles and cheese or whatever you please!
