Wholemeal Oat Crepes

  • SERVES: 14

METHOD

METHOD (Makes 12-14 portions)
Place rolled oats into food processor and process till the oats are chopped to a fine texture.
Place the bread mix and ground oats into a bowl.
Add the milk and water and mix to a smooth batter.
Cover with a damp cloth or cling film and leave in a warm place for an hour.
Well grease a griddle pan and heat until hot (i.e. when the grease on the pan starts to smoke).
Pour over enough batter to cover the griddle pan.
Flip the oat crepes after 2-3 minutes when the top side has dried and the underneath is golden brown in colour.
Cook for another 1-2 minutes.

“Just want to thank you for creating the best bread mix on the market! I've been using your Mixed Grain Bread Mix for quite some time, but because of illness didn't have time to buy in a supply before Christmas. I've just baked a loaf this afternoon, and want you to know that it beats every ready-baked product I used for convenience over Christmas. I do it the old-fashioned way - by hand - and the comfort of that, and the wonderful aroma in the kitchen this afternoon was so worth waiting for. THANKYOU”
