Baked by you at home for us all to enjoy
February 6, 2019
Let’s enjoy the Wright’s Baking Hall of fame so far this year.
Oh Jill – that’s turned out nice again! Actually if you use our bread mixes on the 1 hour 55 minute programme on the Panasonic bread making machines – they turn out perfectly every time! This is our Cheddar & Sundried Tomato Mix performing perfectly in Jill’s machine at home.
Thanks Victoria for for tweeting us @Wrightsbaking saying she was “very impressed – I just needed to throw something together quick. London’s only flour mill & I didn’t know that – thanks very much”. Actually you have impressed us with your beautiful Oat & Linseed Boule Victoria!
Ian made a chocolate orange cake with our Orange Cake mix, saying “it was well received by my wife’s work colleagues”. Gosh Ian – I bet it was! Looks awesome topped with those chocolate & fudge pieces.
Nice message from Sue & then I share her frustrations too! “A quick fruit cake using Wright’s Orange cake mix as a base. Annoyingly we have to wait now ‘till it cools”. Ha ha – thanks so much Sue.
My mate Rob Allen was ‘loafing around’ with our Cheddar Cheese & Onion bread mix last month. Rolling out a sheet of the dough to coat with mustard & cheese to cover his frankfurters & bake into Cheesy Hot-Dogs – oh Robert how delicious!
With the left over Cheddar Cheese & Onion dough, Rob had from his fabulous frankfurters, he made 4 mini loaves for his bread entry for last months #TwitterBakeAlong – which I have a lot of fun following on twitter & what great value!
Darren tweeted us with his marvellous Mixed Grain loaf that he made in his Morphy Richard’s Bread Making Machine – he said our Mixed Grain was lovely & it certainly looks to be a very voluminous loaf indeed!
There was something pleasing Pascal who baked his first ever loaf! He said it was unbelievably easy with our Premium White bread mix & was delighted with the end result, as you can see. It may be his first but it will not be his last as he is going to have a go with the Cheddar & Sundried Tomato next!
Did you know that our cake mixes were 4 years in development before they even hit supermarket shelves? Created to give the appearance of a home made cake with a lovely crack along the top & to uniquely work in a bread making machine. Thanks so much Jill for showing off your awesome Orange Cake that you created at home with the mix in your Panasonic machine – nice one!
Thanks Jo for tweeting us @Wrightsbaking saying that she is “well impressed with Wright’s Madeira cake mix. Think this is the best one I’ve made!! 4” deep 8” round. THANK YOU!” Thank you for sharing Jo
Earlier in January we were making suggestions on how to use up all those sweets left over at Christmas so we can all move on with our diets – no? Me neither! We collated a few for inspiration using any one of our cake mixes.
Thanks to Jacqueline – for a great example of showing us another brilliant way to use up all those Christmas sweets hanging around! This is her Chocolate Fudge cake made from our mix with Kit-Kat’s and Bailey’s buttercream plus Christmas chocolate coins on the top. Feeling a bit besotted with the Bailey’s buttercream currently – it is a beautiful cake and a great idea. Thanks so much.
Not long after Christmas it was National Sausage Day & huge thanks to Martin for these superb dough wrapped sausages – deliciously made with our Cheddar & Sundried Tomato Mix just perfect for Sausage Day.
I thought the best addition of last year was adding a jar of mincemeat to one of our clever cake mixes to create an Instant Fruit Cake. What about our brilliant bread mixes though? Then Joanne used our Premium White bread mix – which as you all know is a great base for your own ideas and for a more festive flair to the flour, she turned it into a Christmas Stuffing Bread by adding 3 – 4 tablespoons of stuffing to the mix. Joanne said “it came out perfectly” – terrific for a turkey sandwich eh?
Thanks Till for your “Yummy nutty & boozy Chocolate Fudge cake made with orange zest & a little kick of chilli salt” & especially for saving us a slice!
Thanks – Deb the Bread
